The mission of the Summit County Port Authority is to implement economic development initiatives that will strengthen and diversify the economy of Summit County and Northeast Ohio.

SCPA encourages investment in:

• Private-sector economic development
• Governmental and non-profit community development projects
• Public-sector infrastructure projects to generate private-sector investment

The SCPA was created in 1999 to promote projects that create jobs and economic growth. With the powers of a municipal corporation under Ohio law, the SCPA brings value to projects through lease financing, sales tax savings, fixed-rate bond fund financing, off-balance-sheet transactions and more.
